For many years now, I have been working with Producer extraordinaire Marcus D on a host of projects – some you’ve heard, and some yet to be heard. Providing vocals for his Omega Music Library collection has been one of those many projects that we have together, and it has been a wonderful and rewarding experience thus far.

This past Friday, September 13th, 2024, he released his 13th volume (how appropriate – 13) of sample packs entitled, Polaris. It features Marcus on various vintage synths and keyboards, the phenomenal Gerson Zaragoza on guitar, and yours truly on vocals.

These sounds are lush, bright, and beautiful, with the perfect amount of grit to make any song sound exquisite – basically, a beatmaker’s musical dream playground.

“Introducing Polaris, the 13th installment in the Omega Music Library collection. This sample pack captures the rich sonic textures of late 70s and early 80s Japanese fusion and rare wamono records, blending live piano recordings from a 1984 Yamaha upright and the highly sought-after Solina String Ensemble with OML’s already impressive arsenal of era-accurate synths and outboard gear.

Each sample was manually processed through a 1979 AKAI GX-635D reel-to-reel tape machine on 10-inch Maxell XLI 35-180B Master Tape, widely used across Japanese recording studios in the late 70s, delivering a warm, lush, and mysterious sound reminiscent of iconic composers like Yuji Ohno, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and Kentaro Haneda. Fully analog, with no digital instruments—Polaris is essential for timeless, emotive production.

The pack offers 10 full compositions or separated stems, with BPM and key details. Hassle-free sample clearance is guaranteed, and files are rendered at 44.1kHz & 24-bit depth rate.”
