Last year, I released the Keith John cover “I Can Only Be Me” for the 50th anniversary of The Stonewall Rebellion and in celebration pride and diversity – however, I only released it on my Bandcamp page. I had always planned to release it on all major streaming platforms, but of course, I had to cut through the red tape, first. As soon as I found my way through it, the deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and countless others had flooded our collective airwaves. Being that this – the month of June – is Pride Month and Black Music Month, the timing of the message could not come at a better time.
So, here it is…“I Can Only Be Me”…available on your favorite streaming platform today. Add it to your favorite playlist, put it on repeat, and spread the word of love to all. Also, leave a comment wherever you can and show your support.
